The 8000SE integrated amplifier retains nearly all the performance of the 8000S amplifier, and offers remarkable valuefor-money. The same circuit topology is used, but with a simpler orientation. Motorised volume controls and remote controls are forsaken, as are the bi-wire terminals, yet in all other respects, the SE is every bit as competent as the famous 8000S. In pure performance terms, the 8000SE stands ‘head and shoulders’ above the competition and offers the true enthusiast a real hi-fi alternative to the ‘feature-rich but lacklustre performance’ integrated amplifiers that are frequently suggested. Available in silver paint and a new, anodised, brushed aluminium black finish.
